Farragut's Halloween season has four hosts this year, each on a different day. Pinnacle at Turkey Creek goes on Friday evening, October 23, with trick-or-treating. Farragut Primary School holds its fall festival Saturday midday. The Farragut Business Alliance brings trick-or-treating to Village Green on Sunday afternoon, and the Town of Farragut hosts its own a week later on Friday, October 30. No two time slots overlap. A passport-style Fall Trail runs through October 31, adding stops on the weeknights in between.
Each event has its own address, crowd and purpose, so a family with costumes ready can go to all four.

Friday Night Opens at Turkey Creek
Harvest Jam is the latest of the four, the only one running past 7 p.m. Pinnacle at Turkey Creek's event page runs it from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, October 23, with trick-or-treat stations, vendors, a costume contest, music and activities. Admission is free, and the page says everyone is welcome.
The Town of Farragut's listing puts it at 11251 Parkside Drive, on the Turkey Creek side of town. Because it runs latest into the evening, it works for families who can't get to a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. It also falls on the night before the busiest day of the week. That matters if your kids plan to wear the same costume to the Saturday festival.
Saturday Morning Is a School Fundraiser
The second event moves to a school campus and has a different goal. The 25th annual FPS Fall Festival runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, on the grounds of Farragut Primary School at 509 Campbell Station Road. Farragut Press reported that attendance is free and day-of tickets for the activities cost $20.
The program is longer than at the other three. Farragut Press listed inflatables, games, student performances, a bake sale, spirit wear and a silent auction. Three food trucks are coming: The Blushing Lemon, Southern Yankee Pizza and Lillo & Bobo's Ice Cream. This year adds a dunk tank and animals from the Farragut High School Agriculture Program, and 865 Rescue will bring dogs available for adoption.
The festival is the PTO's main fundraiser. PTO president Amanda Reichwein told Farragut Press the goal is $35,000, and the money will support students and staff "especially as we transition to a K-5 school next year." So the $20 ticket goes straight to a school whose grade lineup changes next year.
Sunday Afternoon Moves to Village Green
Harvest Fest finishes the first weekend in the daytime. The Farragut Business Alliance's Harvest Fest page puts it at Village Green Shopping Center from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, with live entertainment, food trucks, costume contests, prizes and trick-or-treating. The Alliance lists the address as 11525 Kingston Pike. The Town's calendar lists 11433 Kingston Pike, so plan around the shopping center's name instead of a house number.
Harvest Fest is also the one on Kingston Pike, the stretch where Farragut's older businesses sit close together. Three places nearby make a Sunday afternoon outing easy:
- Campbell Station Inn, 11409 Kingston Pike, is a Fall Trail stop.
- 35 North Bar & Grill, 11321 Kingston Pike at North Campbell Station Road, is also on the trail. Farragut Press reported that its current operators replaced the old food-truck setup with their own kitchen and a fixed menu.
- Angry Dumplings, 10943 Kingston Pike, has opened in the former Status Dough space. It is owner Jason Chau's second location, after his first on Sevier Avenue in South Knoxville. Knox News reported that the Farragut shop has a larger kitchen and a bigger menu. Chau told Inside of Knoxville that the Farragut location is "doing very well."
The Fall Trail Covers the Weeknights
Between Sunday and the following Friday, the calendar has one class and no festivals. The Farragut Fall Trail fills that stretch. It is the third annual trail and runs from October 17 to October 31. You can carry a paper or digital passport while you collect stops for fall drinks and food, shopping and seasonal activities. The digital version is on a Proxi map, where you register with your name and email.
There are prizes along the way. According to the Town's October 5 trail guide, checking in at five stops earns a Fall Trail button and sticker. Checking in at every stop earns a completion prize and enters you in the grand-prize drawing. The map counts 12 locations in all, including these ten:
- 35 North Bar & Grill
- Painting with a Twist
- Summer Moon Coffee
- The French Market Creperie West
- Bradley's Gift and Home at Biddle Farms
- Bruster's Real Ice Cream
- Park+Alley
- Provisions
- The Shoppes at Homespun
- Campbell Station Inn
Most of these work as short weeknight stops: an ice cream at Bruster's, a coffee at Summer Moon, or a quick look around Bradley's. The Town's guide notes that Bradley's carries UT game-day gear, kids' clothing, fall décor, seasonal chocolates and freshly made popcorn. Five stops spread over a few weeknights earns the button before the last Friday arrives.
The one scheduled weeknight event is for adults. Farragut Parks & Recreation runs Design a Wreath at the Farragut Community Center from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28. It is for ages 16 and up, costs $15 per person and requires preregistration. Supplies are provided, and you are welcome to bring your own wreath or decorations.
The Last Friday Is for Kids 12 and Under
The Town's own event comes last. Freaky Friday Fright Nite runs from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, October 30, at Mayor Bob Leonard Park. The Town's fall events notice describes local businesses, community groups and Town volunteers handing out treats along the walking trail. According to the Town's calendar, trick-or-treating is for children 12 and under, and there will also be games and prizes.
Admission is free, but the Town asks families to bring items for the local Ronald McDonald House. The list of needed items is at townoffarragut.org/townevents. Trick-or-treaters don't need to register. The Town's registration page says vendor booth registration is full, so the trail will have a full lineup of booths. The park is at 301 N. Watt Road.
Fright Nite is the day before Halloween, and the Fall Trail closes the next day, October 31. That leaves Friday evening plus Saturday to reach any trail stops you still need for the completion prize.
Put together, a family can go to Turkey Creek on Friday night, the Farragut Primary campus on Saturday morning and Village Green on Sunday afternoon, spend the weeknights on the Fall Trail, and finish at Mayor Bob Leonard Park on the 30th. Each stop has a different host: a shopping center, a school PTO, the business alliance and the Town.
At The Cook Team, we think the best way to get to know Farragut is through weekends like this one. We're glad to see the Primary School PTO, the business alliance and the Town each run their own part of it. If you're new to West Knox, or know someone moving here who wants to see what an ordinary October looks like, we're happy to share what we know about the area.
